The Linton Miners are Southern Indiana’s Top Team in our latest SISN Top 25

The Linton Miners are our pick for the best boys’ basketball team in Southern Indiana. The Miners have been excellent all season, undefeated in Indiana, Linton’s only loss coming from Cooper, Kentucky. Linton has the second highest point differential in Southern Indiana, and they’re putting up the fifth most points.

Linton’s Joey Hart is a threat from anywhere and a D1 commit, but he’s not the only star on the team. They’re stacked. Logan Webb, Braden Walters, Nathan Frady, to name a few. I think the Miners can stand up to any team regardless of class when they’re on their game.

Linton’s Joey Hart

Jennings County took an unfortunate loss to Jeffersonville on February 11th. They concede the top spot to Linton with the loss. I look for the Panthers to bounce back.

Connersville is looking hot, but I need to learn more about them. Comment below if you know a little about the team and want to share with everyone. Based on their record, and thumping of North Daviess, I’d say they’re good, but I have had them high the last couple rankings.

Bloomfield also got the chance to beat on North Daviess a little, jumping the up to the number 5 spot, and the number 1 team in 1A.

Comment with your Top 25 for Southern Indiana, or the whole state. We look forward to getting to watch these top teams compete in sectionals. There’s a lot of good teams in the area right now, and its going to be exciting!
