There was a new concept at the Indiana/Kentucky All Star Day this year. The Indiana All Star Futures games pitted freshmen, sophomores, and juniors into North and South squads. There was star power galore as names like Flory Bidunga, Jack Benter, and Josiah Dunham all took part. There were some notable no shows however, mainly top recruit Trent Sisley and Purdue commit Kanon Catchings.
The South started off red hot knocking in shot after shot. They were simply the better basketball team for the majority of the game. The North squad would make it a game late but were unable to finish.
Now senior phenom Flory Bidunga would lead all scorers with 21 points and he also added 13 rebounds. Ajani Washington out of Fort Wayne Concordia and Sabien Cain out of University High School both added 17 for the North.
The South were a much more balanced team in terms of scoring. Braylen Mullins led with 16, followed by KJ Windham and Jack Benter with 15 and 14 respectively. The South had 6 players end up in double figures and had 27 team assists to only 7 team turnovers.
