Every week, Southern Indiana features spectacular players who raise the bar higher, challenging our expectations and turning ordinary games into unforgettable moments. As Week 6 concluded, we’ve searched Maxpreps, local news sources, and emails, to find who we think had the biggest games from Week 6.
Commanding the Owls’ aerial assault, Perry unleashed a staggering 374 passing yards on 30 completions. With 5 touchdown passes, a long of 65, and an elite QB rate of 145.7, Perry was in sublime form. His near-perfect execution and leadership from the pocket ensured Seymour’s dominant victory over Brownstown Central, making him the week’s standout.
Rominger was a force to be reckoned with, showcasing his endurance with a massive 293 yards on 30 carries. His four touchdowns highlighted his nose for the end zone. The defensive side of his game was just as impressive, chipping in with 12 assisted tackles and a tackle for a loss, cementing his status as a dual-threat.
Every time Ringer touched the ball, magic seemed to happen. With 194 yards from 14 carries, he averaged nearly 14 yards per rush, finding the end zone an impressive 5 times. His efforts played a pivotal role in East Central’s utter dismantling of South Dearborn Knights.
Sauer’s versatility shone brightly in Week 6. With 294 yards on 13/20 passing, he registered 5 touchdown passes, showcasing his precision. His dual-threat capabilities were further emphasized with 60 rushing yards, contributing significantly to Indian Creek’s win over Edgewood.
A stalwart in the backfield, Davis Jr. tore through defenses, amassing 181 yards on 21 carries. His decisive touchdown run and ability to control the clock proved invaluable in Reitz’s victory against Castle Knights.
Delong’s heroics were crucial in Gibson Southern’s victory. With a total of 230 offensive yards and 2 critical touchdowns, his consistent gains and ability to find the end zone ensured his team edged out against Heritage Hills.
A dual-threat, French notched 90 receiving yards from 4 receptions, with half of those going for touchdowns. On defense, his 2 tackles and timely interception further proved his value in Charlestown’s overwhelming win against Scottsburg.
Leading the charge for Bloomington South, Alley efficiently used his arm, amassing 91 yards with 2 touchdown passes from just 10 attempts. His versatility was on display as he added 46 rushing yards and a pair of running touchdowns, instrumental in their dominant win.
Emerging as the go-to receiver for the Pioneers, Ballard turned 6 receptions into a whopping 145 yards. His pair of touchdowns, including a game-changing 70-yarder, was key in Boonville’s narrow victory against Mt. Vernon.
Krekeler’s dynamic performance encompassed 122 all-purpose yards. His reception touchdown showcased his receiving skill set, and the punt return touchdown highlighted his agility and playmaking ability in Batesville’s win against Lawrenceburg.
