Last Friday, Paoli triumphed over cross county rival Crawford County, 50 to 7. The Wolf Pack of Crawford County has struggled, but I applaud their players efforts to stick with the game of football. Several Rams players got the chance to play, and 4 different players were able to score, and score quickly. Rams controlled this game from the outset, and they’ll probably do the same when the travel to Mitchell.
Its been a busy week for me personally, so I apologize it has taken so long to get this post out. Its not going to be a huge article. I’ll share the box score from last Friday, provide a brief glance of the Mitchell game, and share the photos I took from the Crawford County game.
The Paoli Rams are gearing up for a conference encounter against the Mitchell Bluejackets this week at Cole Field. With a robust 6-1 record under their belt, the Rams have proven their mettle this season. Coach Neil Dittmer, currently in his 4th year with Paoli, has impressively managed a 27-12 record.
On the other side, the Mitchell Bluejackets, holding a 2-5 standing, are looking to bounce back from their recent challenges. Their coach, Kevin Kling, is in his 2nd year at Mitchell with a cumulative 23-25 record over 5 years. However, the recent 56-6 loss to Scottsburg stands as a testament to the team’s struggles this season.
Paoli leads the series over the last 35 years with a 28-12 record. Their last face-off in October 2022 Sectionals ended with Paoli on top, 47-26. Given the recent performances and statistics, the prediction leans heavily towards another Paoli win, with a projected score of 49-14.
