Southern Indiana Football Player of the Week 4

Southern Indiana fans, you showed out in a big way last week. Our Week 3 poll smashed records with over 215,000 votes, making it the most-voted poll in SISN history. When the dust settled, Scottsburg’s own Garrett Boling walked away as the top player of the week.

Now, Week 4 is here and the energy is just as high. Scottsburg is back in the spotlight with another nominee, giving them a shot at two straight wins and the chance to break another SISN record.

The stage is set, and the nominees are ready. Can Southern Indiana fans rally again and top last week’s vote total? It’s time to meet the players who lit up the field under those Friday night lights.

Only players from winning teams are included in the poll. Stats are pulled directly from MaxPreps, so if numbers are not entered there, they are not listed here. We do not currently have player photos, but if you do, please send them our way. Fans may vote as many times as they’d like.


Peyton Gray — Wide Receiver/Defensive Back, Heritage Hills, Senior

Heritage Hills shut out Southridge 45–0, and Gray played a major role on both sides of the ball. He hauled in 6 catches for 114 yards and 2 touchdowns to spark the Patriot offense, then sealed the defensive effort with an interception.

Anderson Aiman — Wide Receiver/Defensive End, North Daviess, Senior

In North Daviess’ 48–0 rout of Pike Central, Aiman showed why he’s one of the region’s most versatile players. He caught 4 passes for 105 yards and 3 touchdowns, returned a fumble for another score, and dominated defensively with 12 tackles and 4.5 sacks.

Duncan Combs — Quarterback, Bloomington South, Junior

Combs led Bloomington South to a 36–7 victory in the city rivalry game against Bloomington North. The junior quarterback was nearly perfect, completing 15 of 20 passes for 315 yards and 3 touchdowns, consistently stretching the field and keeping the offense in rhythm.

Isaiah Williams — Running Back/Defensive Back, Lawrenceburg, Senior

Williams was everywhere in Lawrenceburg’s 62–7 win over Greensburg. He rushed for 56 yards and a touchdown, added a 61-yard punt return score, and picked off a pass on defense. In total, he finished with 213 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns.

Nathan Byrd — Quarterback, Scottsburg, Senior

Scottsburg edged Corydon Central 28–21 thanks to Byrd’s four-touchdown night. He completed 13 of 19 passes for 273 yards and 3 touchdowns, then added a rushing score to deliver the win for the Warriors.

Zadiin Small — Running Back, Batesville, Junior

Small carried Batesville to a 39–28 comeback victory over Rushville. He rushed 17 times for 197 yards and 2 touchdowns, including a 47-yard sprint that helped swing momentum. Small also added a reception to finish with 211 total yards.

Zach Foster — Quarterback, Gibson Southern, Senior

Foster’s dual-threat ability shined in a 40–14 win over Henderson County (KY). He threw for 162 yards and 4 touchdowns, ran for 122 more yards and another score, and finished the night with 5 total touchdowns and 284 yards of offense.

Landon Hartley — Quarterback, Vincennes Lincoln, Freshman

Hartley looked like anything but a freshman in Vincennes Lincoln’s 46–13 win over Evansville Central. He completed 15 of 19 passes for 263 yards and 5 touchdowns, spreading the ball across the field and keeping the Alices’ offense rolling all night.

Grant Davis — Running Back/Linebacker, Boonville, Senior

Davis powered Boonville to a 35–6 win over North Knox with a complete performance. On offense, he ran 16 times for 169 yards and 2 touchdowns and added a 9-yard reception. On defense, he chipped in a half-sack and a tackle for loss, making his presence felt on both sides of the ball.

Dane Padgett — Running Back/Linebacker, Paoli, Senior

Dane Padget of the Paoli Rams, was an Southern Indiana Player of the Week back in 2023.

Padgett delivered a statement game in Paoli’s 49–0 shutout of Perry Central. He rushed for 129 yards and 2 touchdowns, caught a 70-yard touchdown pass, and contributed 6 tackles and a tackle for loss on defense. His 3-touchdown night fueled the Rams’ dominant win.
