Southern Indiana Football Player of the Week – Week 8 nominees include standout players from across the region, with three previous SISN winners back on the ballot.
After another exciting Friday night across Southern Indiana, the ballot is loaded for this week’s Southern Indiana Football Player of the Week.
This week’s lineup features three previous SISN winners — Isaiah Williams (Lawrenceburg), Keaton Graber (North Daviess), and Garrett Boling (Scottsburg), alongside several new faces chasing their first title. And we’d like to congratulate Treysean Hawkins (Seymour), who earned Week 7 honors after his outstanding all-around performance for the Owls.
Fans can vote at the bottom of the page for their favorite standout from Week 8. Voting will end at 6pm on Thursday, and fans are encouraged to vote as many times as they’d like. After voting, the results page will return to the homepage after 3 seconds. If you would just like to review the results, there is a link in the voting area that allows you just to review the results.
Treysean Hawkins (Seymour) – Senior running back and defensive back Hawkins powered Seymour to its first win of the season, a 44–7 victory at Jennings County. He rushed 15 times for 167 yards and 2 touchdowns, caught 2 passes for 79 yards and another score, and was dominant on defense with 9 tackles, 3 tackles for loss, and a sack.
Amyr Wilford (Evansville Reitz) – The freshman running back continued his breakout season, rushing 8 times for 123 yards and 3 touchdowns in Reitz’s 58–0 shutout of Evansville Bosse. Wilford’s 15.4 yards per carry helped the Panthers extend their winning streak and showcase their offensive depth.
Isaiah Williams (Lawrenceburg) – The senior star delivered another highlight-filled night with 18 carries for 228 yards and 4 touchdowns, plus a 23-yard reception in a 55–14 win over Connersville. Williams, a previous SISN Player of the Week, continues to dominate on the ground as Lawrenceburg’s go-to playmaker.
Sebastian Robertson (Floyd Central) – Robertson led a balanced Floyd Central offense with 11 carries for 124 yards and 4 touchdowns during a 63–0 rout of Jennings County. The senior averaged over 11 yards per carry, punishing defenders from start to finish in one of the Highlanders’ biggest wins of the year.
Jett Goldsberry (Heritage Hills) – A dual-threat force, Goldsberry went 4-of-9 passing for 104 yards and a touchdown while rushing for 141 yards and 2 more scores in a 56–0 win over North Posey. The senior added defensive stops and a punt inside the 20, showing why he’s been a regular name on the SISN list this season.
Mason Wewe (Franklin County) – The senior running back was everywhere in Franklin County’s 49–6 victory over Batesville, carrying 12 times for 105 yards and 3 touchdowns. Wewe also added a 56-yard punt return, finishing with 161 all-purpose yards to lead the Wildcats’ offense.
Keaton Graber (North Daviess) – The senior quarterback accounted for five total touchdowns in North Daviess’ 36–20 win at North Knox. Graber completed 18 of 26 passes for 319 yards and 4 touchdowns and added 88 yards and another score on the ground. The previous SISN winner continues to be one of the area’s most complete offensive threats.
Noah Ferree (Bloomington North) – Ferree anchored the Cougars’ defense in their 31–28 win over Columbus North. The senior recorded 12 tackles, a sack, an interception, and a blocked field goal, coming up big in clutch moments to help seal one of the closest games of the week.
Garrett Boling (Scottsburg) – Boling once again proved his two-way impact, catching 4 passes for 140 yards and 2 touchdowns while adding 10 tackles on defense in Scottsburg’s 64–0 victory over Eastern. The senior and former SISN winner continues to be one of the most dangerous playmakers in Southern Indiana.
Fans can vote now for who they think deserves to be named Southern Indiana Football Player of the Week – Week 8. Voting closes Thursday night at 6pm, and results will be announced right here on the Southern Indiana Sports Network and on our Facebook page.
