Trey Rominger breaking a tackle

Trey Rominger breaking a tackle

The 2023 Orange Bowl was fun, full of big plays and celebrations for the Rams as they run all over county rival, Springs Valley Blackhawks, 42-18. I captured over 550 pictures of the game and wanted to share some of my favorites. I went with a different editing style this time around, just for something new. I hope you like the change.

The rest of my Saturday is busy, so I don’t have the time to write a full game recap. I’ll provide that later this weekend, with the preview for week 4. I did want to get these pictures out and share the box score so the readers had that as soon as possible.

I’ll also have some videos posted from the game throughout the week.

Trey Rominger could not be stopped.

The main thing to note about this game is that Springs Valley could do nothing to stop Trey Rominger. Trey had one of the best games of his career, carrying the ball 29 times for 238 (8.1 avg) yards and 4 touchdowns. He had 5 carries over 20+ yards. Rominger also led the Rams in tackles with six, and a forced fumble. Look through some of the pictures below, you can see Trey’s ability to glide through defenses and break tackles frame by frame.

Rams Defense is Real

I’ve been saying it since preseason that the Rams defense was different this year, and they showed up at the Orange Bowl. They forced 2 fumbles, got 2 interceptions, and turned the tables from last season. I was able to capture Fletcher Cole’s leaping INT in the photo gallery. The sequence is awesome.

Willliam Baker gets his second interception of the season, and it was off a nice read and took it along the sideline. I was too busy admiring the play to remember to capture it with the camera.

I’ll provide more analysis of the game in a later post. For now, enjoy the box score and photo gallery below.
