SISN Game of the Week – Northview at Owen Valley

The SISN game of the week, Chris Marshall will be covering tonight. Both teams come into this game undefeated. Both look to take the crown for the Western Indiana conference. Seth Brewster was on our list for POTW in Week 4, and he looks to continue his defensive storm. Check out Chris’ story to learn more about this game.

SISN PICK – Owen Valley

Gibson Southern at Southridge

Even though the Gibson Southern fans may have shunned us after snubbing them on the polls (just go look at Week 3 voting compared to Week 4, sorry guys didn’t mean to make you mad!) We still know they are one of the top teams in Indiana. Southridge also wants to claim that throne as both teams are undefeated coming into Week 5. They are both beating teams by large margins, and this will prove to be one heck of a game. These 2 are literally 62 and 63 in the Saragin ratings.

SISN PICK Southridge

Charlestown at Providence

Providence may be a 1A team, but they do not play like a small school. They are good and Charlestown is aware. Charlestown Pirates are atop our SISN Top 25, and this will be the second big test they face in two weeks. Both teams are undefeated.

SISN PICK – Charlestown

Paoli at West Washington

I will be covering this game tonight, and have written a quick review about the game here. Paoli comes in looking to regain some confidence after losing to Perry Central last week. The Rams are 2-2, while West Washington is undefeated on the season. Question marks remain on the Senator’s Strength of Schedule, and tonight we will find who the real deal is.

SISN PICK – Paoli

Brownstown Central at North Harrison

Both teams sit with one loss, but both are good confident teams on our SISN Top 25 List, which North Harrison did sit atop of in Week 3. Brownstown is a very young team, with only 1 returning starter on offense, but they are finding their way to winning games. Very much back in old form. North Harrison will need to answer some questions left open after last week’s loss to Charlestown.

SISN PICK – Brownstown Central

Evansville Mater Dei at Jasper

Evansville is coming off 2 straight losses and now must face another larger opponent in Jasper. Jasper is capable of beating Mater Dei if they do not bring their A-game. Both teams have a decent air attack, where Mater Dei may have that edge. This game may paint the picture to how the rest of Mater Dei’s season may go.

SISN PICK -Evansville Mater Dei

Indian Creek at Triton Central

Indiana Creek is a 3A team sitting at 3-1. Triton Central is also 3-1 as a 2A school. Triton Central is a very athletic team with talent at the skill positions. They won their sectional last year, and hope to continue so in their new pairing in 39. They are both beating team by a total of 50 points this season.

SISN PICK – Triton Central

Linton-Stockton at Boonville

There’s a lot of talk that Linton has had an easy schedule and that’s why they’re blowing everyone away. I don’t think its been that easy, and I think they’re a pretty good team. Boonville is a large, athletic team, but I do not see them being as controlled as Linton. Linton is sitting at 4-0, while Boonville has a lost a game.

SISN PICK – Linton-Stockton

North Daviess at Edinburgh

These two teams had a heck of a game last year in Basketball, now they’re going to do it again in Football. Spirits are high in Edinburg, as the fan base is really proud of Edinburgh first undefeated start since 1961. But North Daviess is quelling all doubters and putting a good season together, starting the season with only one loss. We’ve already angered the North Daviess coach once predicting against his team, but we may have to do it again. It only stokes that fire, right coach?

SISN PICK – Edinburgh

Vincennes Lincoln at Castle

A lot of fans have told us to look at Vincennes Lincoln as one of the top teams in Southern Indiana, and we’re kicking ourselves for not including them on the list. They go up against a 5A Castle, who is also good. Should be see how the 3A team stacks up against the 5A.

SISN PICK – Castle
